The Los Angeles Public Library + America Learns (Video)

The Los Angeles Public Library’s adult literacy program began to use an Impact Suite in 2016 so that it could get a far better handle on its program’s impact at the individual, site, and program-wide levels.

The program’s goals didn’t just stop at wanting to understand what’s happening.  They wanted to really use data each month to make evidence-driven decisions and to then collect data on how those new decisions were impacting learners and volunteers.  The program also wanted a system that would let its volunteers do more of what they were showing up to do every week: volunteer (not report).

Check out the following video that the program’s director made from her office about why she decided to begin using an Impact Suite, the benefits she has gained from it, and the unexpected things that have come up as a result of using it.
