Seattle-based CAN provides personalized and practical college-going support for motivated, low-income students in Seattle and South King County. The organization’s program began as a grassroots initiative led by a group of dedicated volunteers helping twenty-nine 12th grade students gain acceptance to college. Today, CAN is supporting more than 2,200 high school and college students, including more than 1,000 high school students at 11 high schools in four school districts, and 1,200 college students in Washington State and throughout the country.
