We’re so excited to begin working with Community Mediation Maryland’s AmeriCorps program. Over the years, the program has inspired other organizations to create similar efforts around providing free conflict resolution services to families and neighborhoods.
As an example, the program’s AmeriCorps members facilitate conversations between Baltimore police officers and high school students, bridging understanding between the two populations so that they don’t misunderstand one another’s intentions or actions on the streets.
We’re looking forward to helping CMM build its capacity so that its staff can direct far more energy to its mission.
