We’re so happy to announce that our AmeriCorps practice is a lead sponsor of this year’s three National Service Training regional events, hosted by America’s Service Commissions (ASC) — the national association of state service commissions.
“We are thrilled to have America Learns supporting our National Service Training events this year,” said Kaira Esgate, ASC CEO. “This is one of our most important events each year, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity and commitment of our sponsors. We are pleased to partner with America Learns to bring vital professional development opportunities to our network of state service commissions and AmeriCorps State programs.”
Supporting more than 1,100 national service program and nonprofit staff in their professional development each year, the National Service Training events provide tools to effectively manage AmeriCorps and other volunteer-driven programs making a difference throughout the country.
The 2022 National Service Training events will take place in three locations:
- April 26-28: Central Region Milwaukee, WI
- May 17-19: East Region Burlington, VT
- June 1-3: West Region Albuquerque, NM
The regional events are designed to provide training to AmeriCorps State/National program and/or fiscal staff, state service commission staff, and commissioners. While not the primary audience, all other streams of national service (AmeriCorps Seniors, Tribal, VISTA, NCCC, VGF) are welcome to attend.
In 2022, Emmy award winning storyteller Sarah Eagle Heart will deliver a keynote address at all three events. Additional keynote speakers as well as workshops covering topics like AmeriCorps fiscal and grants management; AmeriCorps program management; state service commissions; volunteer and member engagement; justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion; and more will be announced soon.
