America Learns to Host First-Ever AmeriCorps Community-Wide Song Circle at NST

This week in Dallas, America Learns is inviting the national service community into something simple and meaningful: the first-ever AmeriCorps community-wide song circle at National Service Training.

At NST, people come together to learn, problem-solve, and prepare for the important work ahead. But this year, we also wanted to create space for something else the community needs just as much: joy, breath, connection, and a chance to be together in a different way.

That is the spirit behind Song Circle at NST 2026.

This special evening will bring together America Learns clients, partners, and all NST attendees for a shared experience of song and connection. No singing experience is needed. People can sing fully, sing softly, or simply listen.

The event will be led by Sarah Sampson, director of the Dallas Movement Collective. Sarah is an embodiment guide and ritual artist whose work helps people connect through movement, breath, and song. Her approach is welcoming and accessible, centered less on performance and more on how people feel in the experience.

We know this field is carrying a great deal right now. Alongside the serious work of training, compliance, and leadership, we believe there should also be room for heart. Room for play. Room for the kind of human connection that reminds people they are not carrying this work alone.

That is what this evening is about.

And the night does not end there. After the song circle, guests are invited to stay for the first-ever NST Talent Show, AmeriCorps Got Talent!

The event is being presented in partnership with On3Learn and McMahon Consulting, and complimentary light bites and drinks will be provided.

Because space is limited, we recommend reserving a spot in advance on the America Learns NST community page. RSVP here.
