Very excited and grateful to begin working with Breakthrough New York’s brand new AmeriCorps program launching this summer!
Breakthrough New York (BTNY) exists to reduce disparities in education for under-represented students. The core of BTNY’s program is a rigorous college-preparatory summer learning program for high-need and high-potential middle school students in New York. In support of this mission, starting this coming summer, AmeriCorps Teaching Fellows will deliver academic instruction — including lesson planning, student engagement, classroom management, and administration — in order to effectively prepare BTC students to be successful in the upcoming school year and beyond.

BTNY is the seventh Breakthrough affiliate that’s choosing to use the Impact Suite, the others being Breakthrough Miami, Breakthrough Central Texas, Breakthrough Atlanta, Breakthrough Silicon Valley, Breakthrough Cincinnati, and Breakthrough Twin Cities. When it comes to managing AmeriCorps member files, handling member timesheets, taking care of staff timesheets, and making audits a breeze, the Impact Suite is helping Breakthrough affiliates nationwide to avoid Google Sheets, Excel, multiple document signing systems, and clunky software so that as much energy as possible can be directed towards mission.
