“Overcoming Imposter Syndrome” – A New Workshop for AmeriCorps Members

Do you sometimes think you don’t deserve your accomplishments? Are you afraid people will think you’re faking it or accuse you of not being as skilled or talented as you’ve led others to believe? Join us for a brand new workshop on,
Overcoming Imposter Syndrome!

This workshop is happening on Tuesday, August 13th from 12-1:30 pm Eastern (9 am Pacific; 10 am Mountain; 11 am Central).

Workshop Details:
For many people, persistent thoughts of being an imposter haunt them on a daily basis, but this topic is rarely something we talk about in the open. Research shows that 70% of us have felt like an imposter at some point (so you’re totally normal if you’ve had these thoughts!).

To support you during your AmeriCorps term of service both as current AmeriCorps members and to prepare you for the future, this workshop will help you understand imposter feelings in yourself or other people you care about. We will explore types of imposter syndrome and identify situations most likely to trigger it. For those supervising and managing AmeriCorps members, this workshop will help you recognize your feelings of Imposter Syndrome that may influence and impact your leadership style. It will also be a place to build your skills in mentoring and supporting members through their moments of self-doubt and challenges during the service year.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn the indicators of imposter syndrome
  • Know how to compassionately handle these feelings as they arise
  • See and embrace your unique gifts and talents
