In August 2024, Idaho’s Aging Strong programs at Jannus adopted the Impact Suite to enhance four of their key initiatives, which provide vital services to older adults—including mentorship, caregiving support, social engagement, and community-based assistance. One of these initiatives, the Foster Grandparents program, connects older adults with children in need of guidance and mentorship, fostering meaningful intergenerational relationships.
In working with us, Aging Strong has transitioned from paper timesheets and manually-updated Excel spreadsheets to a fully digitized platform for program management, program excellence, and AmeriCorps grant compliance. The shift to the Impact Suite has saved their program managers countless hours of administrative work, allowing them to focus more on directly supporting their volunteers and the communities they serve.
However, integrating the Foster Grandparents program into the Impact Suite has taken longer than expected. While we have over 20 years of experience supporting AmeriCorps State/National and National Direct programs, some aspects of our system required updates to meet the unique compliance and management needs of AmeriCorps Seniors programs.
We view these challenges as opportunities to learn, improve, and innovate.
