Chicago HOPES for Kids empowers children experiencing homelessness by providing direct academic support in Chicago’s homeless shelters. Children who are experiencing homelessness for even a short amount of time can fall three to six months behind in school due to their unstable living environment.
Chicago HOPES for Kids helps these students unlock their own potential by ensuring that the children receive the necessary academic support needed to keep up in school. More importantly, the organization fosters a positive relationship with learning that gives the children hope for the future.
We’re always grateful to serve organizations in the city where we got our own start. Given the escalating homelessness crisis in some of America’s urban centers, we’re grateful to begin working with another organization that’s effectively supporting families who have found themselves in a position that they never planned for.
