Sending a warm welcome to Mission Ignite: Powered by Computers for Children in Buffalo, NY — one of the latest New York-based AmeriCorps programs to begin using the AmeriCorps Impact Suite to make electronic member files and timesheet compliance activities a breeze.
The organization’s Ignite Your Life AmeriCorps program is a STEM Corps, training low-income and income-qualified youth in New Collar job skills, and ultimately helping the youth secure tech-industry jobs.
Something special about Mission Ignite is that the organization largely came out of a VISTA project from more than 20 years ago! A VISTA served as CFC’s first program coordinator, marking the beginning of a long and successful relationship at most every stage of the agency’s evolution.
