We’re so grateful to begin working with the Shiprock Chapter of the Navajo Nation.
The Shiprock Chapter is launching a new AmeriCorps program with three core foci:
– Connecting veterans with workforce development and education resources;
– Improving 20 acres of land and river parkways; and
– Developing four miles of river trails.
As the main office lacks Internet access and phone service, the Chapter is taking advantage of the smart phone-optimized AmeriCorps Impact Suite to monitor its members’ progress and to stay connected with members throughout the year via text messages.
