We’re grateful to welcome Read Santa Clara at the Santa Clara City Library to the community of California Library Literacy Services-funded programs using the Impact Suite to manage and strengthen service delivery.
Read Santa Clara provides free one-to-one tutoring and small group instruction for more than 100 English-speaking adults who want to improve basic reading, writing and math skills. Trained volunteer tutors work with adult learners to achieve their goals as family members, workers, community members and lifelong learners.
Learners in Read Santa Clara’s adult literacy program who have a young child or grandchild can join the Families for Literacy Program. Learners and their families participate in monthly family nights at the library which include dinner, story times, songs, crafts and gift books.
The program also produces an innovative, regular podcast to help adult learners work on their goals. Check it out!
