Welcome to West Texas A&M University’s AmeriCorps Program!

We’re so excited to welcome another Texas-based AmeriCorps program to the America Learns community!

The Texas Panhandle faces multifaceted challenges that can strain resources and restrict growth and vitality.  R2OHP, Rural Resilience and Opportunity on the High Plains, is a state and regional collaboration housed at West Texas A&M University that aims to close gaps in access to opportunity through resource alignment and the attainment of post-secondary training, education, and skills building centered around under-resourced and rural communities.
Members provide one-on-one and small group advising, guidance, mentoring, academic coaching, and resource, skills and success coaching to historically underserved populations. These populations consist of economically disadvantaged, first generation, rural, and other underrepresented groups.
Welcome!
