Navigating the Fog Bank

In the current political and funding climate, “burnout” isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a biological reality. For leaders and activists dedicated to social change, the chronic stress of the work often leads to a state of constant high alert. But here is the truth: You cannot effectively dismantle external systems of oppression if your own internal systems are under siege.

This interactive workshop, led by Dr Erin and Coach Chandra, moves beyond the surface-level “self-care” narrative. We dive deep into the biology of stress and provide practical, science-backed tools to help you reclaim your cognitive clarity, physical health, and emotional resilience.

What You’ll Discover:

  • The Tiger in the Office: Learn how chronic stress impacts your cortisol levels, leading to brain fog, inflammation, and digestive issues—and how to signal “safety” to your nervous system.
  • Managing Your Mind’s Alarm System: Embody the tool of self-coaching to lower internal stress and shift the thoughts that create your emotional reality.
  • Resourcing Your Body: Understand the power of “biological wins,” from how a protein-rich breakfast stabilizes your mood to simple, low-cost habits that reset your nervous system in real-time.
  • True Self-Soothing vs. Buffering: Identify the difference between “numbing out” (scrolling, sugar, etc.) and genuine resourcing that leaves you feeling restored rather than depleted.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Live Nervous System Resets: Participate in guided breathing, gentle stretching, and tension-releasing “shakes” you can do anywhere.
  • Collaborative Breakouts: Connect with fellow leaders to swap shares, lower judgment, and find inspiration in shared “add-on” thoughts.
  • Tangible Action Plans: Walk away not with a “to-do” list, but with one simple, doable practice to improve your daily well-being immediately.
  • Book Giveaway: Engage with the session for a chance to win a copy of our Handbook for Human Potential.

The Goal: To move from surviving to thriving, ensuring that your mission is fueled by a well-resourced body and a clear mind.
