We’re excited to welcome a third Operation AmeriCorps grantee to the America Learns community — East St. Louis School District 189!
Through Operation AmeriCorps, the District will collaborate with local community partners to engage more than 200 AmeriCorps members in schools.
The AmeriCorps members will provide during- and after-school academic support to students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. In addition, AmeriCorps VISTA members will be implementing a city-wide College and Career Pathways program to help improve college and career readiness and planning for students in East St. Louis.
