We’re so excited to begin serving Project Adult Literacy at the Newport Beach Public Library in Southern California!
Since its inception in 1986, Project Adult Literacy has offered free, one-on-one tutoring and small group classes in basic literacy, to adults who live or work in the Newport Beach area. The program is open to adults, over 18 years-of-age, who are either native English speakers with low literacy skills or those who learned English as a second language.
The program is sponsored, in part, by California Library Literacy Services and the City of Newport Beach; however, most of PAL’s funding comes from individual support and from local businesses that are committed to making a difference.
PAL will be using the Impact Suite to easily enroll, manage, and stay in touch with tutors and learners while demonstrating impact, using data to constantly improve programming, and staying compliant with state grant requirements.
Watch this wonderful video on PAL’s impact over the years! Welcome!
