Improve Your Tomorrow is Scaling with the Impact Suite!

Improve Your Tomorrow

Improve Your Tomorrow envisions a nation where young men of color are overrepresented in higher education, underrepresented in the criminal justice system, and are leaders in their communities.  To help realize that vision, ITY develop its Mentor Fellowship Program — a year-long opportunity for college students to develop strong, innovative, and empathetic leadership skills while supporting young men of color on their journey to and through college. Fellows are placed within one of IYT’s signature programs: College AcademyIYT CC, or IYT U.

IYT Mentors provide the following services across programs:

  • Lead student development workshops, including but not limited to college advising, civic engagement, character education, and life skills.

  • Work with IYT’s programs team to assess and develop strategies to support students’ academic and emotional needs.

  • Collaborate with educators, school staff, and community partners to cultivate a vibrant student driven culture that values resilience, authenticity, and passion.

  • Participate in leadership development sessions to hone leadership skills.

This summer, IYT is scaling its program — expanding its service footpoint from California to Maryland and Minnesota.  AmeriCorps programs ranging in size from a few to more than 4,000 members currently use the Impact Suite platform — a platform that we’ve intentionally developed to flex and scale with programs as they grow.

We’re thrilled to be supporting IYT during this pivotal moment for the organization, helping the organization spend as little time as possible on member enrollment, files, timesheets and other grant compliance tasks so staff and AmeriCorps members can direct as much energy as possible towards the youth being served.  IYT joins other national AmeriCorps programs that have moved to the Impact Suite during the past year, including Lead for America, Impact America, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, Playworks, and Generation Teach.

Welcome!
